Nguyễn Hoàng Việt is a social justice educator, restorative justice practitioner, and Fulbright scholar with over a decade of experience empowering marginalized youth and educators throughout Vietnam. His work centers on culturally sustaining, trauma-informed education and storytelling that bridges historical divides. With a Master’s degree in Culturally Sustaining Education from the University of Washington, Việt’s research explores how Restorative Justice can support healing from intergenerational trauma linked to war and mass violence. His community-based projects cultivate young environmental and social changemakers, uplift affected youth voices, and contribute to reconciliation dialogues across the Vietnamese diaspora and homeland.
